Process
To start this project, I did some individual research and idea generation for the potential theme of our animation. I decided look into mental health as the overarching category, and within that I looked into several themes including burnout, OCD and mental health stigma. I found a ted talk by Kandarp Mehta that focused on creative block, which listed interesting strategies about coping with it
Analysing the text gave me some further insights into the causes of creative block, and the simple lifestyle changes that can make a huge difference to your creative outlook. Mentally Disconnecting from something can help you gain a fresh perspective on a problem, allowing your mind to seek new solutions which it wasn't able to seek before. he emphasises the importance of changing your environment and allowing your exploring new places in order to regain inspiration

Analysis of transcript
After researching our theme in more depth, our next step was to define the target audience, and decide what context the video would be viewed in. I wanted to target creatives as I thought our video would resinate with them the most.
In order for our video to be visible in the right context, I decided to partner the video with Post-it: a brand that values creativity and explores new ways to generate ideas. Post-it would be the perfect partnership as it aligns with our aim to help people recharge their creative batteries and spark inspiration.

User Moodboard
The next stage of the process was to start storyboarding initial ideas. I did some quick hand drawn sketches as well as digital storyboards on procreate to develop the storyline.

Style Frames
I wanted the animation to have a 2D style with a limited colour pallet to ensure the video felt cohesive throughout. I experimented with several character styles and frames before finalising the sequence. I chose to use a very simple character to ensure the audience was able to relate to her, providing a deeper connection to the narrative.
